Winfried Haas is a German engineer and independent owner-side advisor specialising in Net Zero Asset Transformation.

Drawing on more than three decades of experience in energy infrastructure, Energy Performance Contracting and major retrofit programmes, he helps ownership evaluate technologies, investment pathways and major capital decisions before commitments are made.

His experience includes senior leadership roles within leading German utility and energy services organisations, where he prepared strategic investment decisions and business cases for utility boards involving multi-million Euro infrastructure and energy efficiency investments.

He also served as Lead Consultant for Abu Dhabi’s emirate-wide Demand Side Management Programme, supporting the assessment of more than 30,000 buildings and the identification of large-scale energy efficiency opportunities.

Today, he helps asset owners, family offices and asset management teams evaluate technologies, investment pathways and Net Zero transformation strategies from an independent owner-side perspective.

His focus is simple: helping ownership protect asset value, reduce investment risk and improve long-term investment performance throughout the Net Zero transformation journey.
